Fun Times in Miami!
Joel Hoffman, executive director of the Vizcaya Museum and Gardens, was asked if he would like a signed bottle of Deering Wine. He requested a kiss instead! This began a trend, as everyone started requesting a kiss on their bottle too!
This was our second year pouring our wines for the annual "Wine on Harvest Moon," at my great-great grandfather's house, The Deering Estate at Cutler! We were thrilled to see a lot of the friends we made last year, as well as meeting new friends. We also had a tasting at my great-great uncle's estate, Vizcaya, and made many great memories there as well. We love Miami and can't wait for next year. It is always such a thrill to have our wines showcased where my ancestors lived!

We Won Gold!
Our Deering 2008 "Maus Vineyard" Zinfandel won Double Gold and our 2007 Deering Cabernet Sauvignon won Gold in the 2011 Finger Lakes International Wine Competition.
Our Deering 2008 "Vendimia Vineyard" Chardonnay won Gold at the 2011 Florida State Fair International Wine and Grape Juice Competition.
Our Deering 2008 "Maus Vineyard" Zinfandel won Gold at the 2011 San Francisco Chronicle Wine Competition, the largest competition of American wines in the world.
Deering Wine was the Featured Wine at the 17th Annual Bali Ha'i at The Kampong in Miami, March 27th! We had such a good time at this event. Loved sharing our wines with all the wonderful people we met in Miami.
